Angus continues to fight for fair gas prices in Timmins

Charlie Angus is taking the fight for fair gas prices to the top. The Timmins-James Bay MP spoke in the House of Commons yesterday, calling on all northern municipalities for support. Angus says the prices always go up fast, but never come down quickly, and there is no clear reason as to why. He says when the price of a barrel drops, the price at the pumps remain high in the north, and the reasoning is very vague.

Angus says he hears it’s due to a lack of refining, it’s due to the low value of the looney, he says it’s all “yadda yadda yadda”. Meanwhile, Timmins is paying 20 per cent more than those in Toronto and 35 per cent more than Regina. Angus says he is pleased Timmins is standing up on the issue of gas fairness.
