First snowmobile death of 2016 in the northeast reported

The first snowmobile related death of 2016 has been reported in the Northeast. Police say 55-year-old Brian Bradley of Machar Township succumbed to injuries suffered in a crash earlier this week. The OPP says he was travelling on an OFSC trail, drove into the soft powder and was vaulted into several trees. The trail is located near Joly. Because of the mild winter and lack of base for snowmobiling, obstacles that would normally be covered are merely concealed. This comes only days after the OPP and the OFSC wrapped up their Snowmobile Safety Week Campaign.
