A head-on crash near Matheson has claimed the life of one person. It happened yesterday morning on Highway 11 between two transport trucks. One driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. One of the transports was hauling dangerous materials and the crash caused a leak. The Ministry of the Environment has been called in to help clean up and investigate. The crash closed Highway 11 near Val Gagne while police investigated. It has since been re-opened.
