News Strike looming at the Monteith prison SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Wednesday, Dec. 30th, 2015 Correctional workers at the Monteith jail could be walking the picket lines on January 10th. The union representing Ontario Correctional workers has filed a no board report which puts them in a legal strike position on that date. No negotiations are scheduled between OPSEU and the government yet. The deadline comes after 67 per cent of members rejected a tentative agreement signed in late November.
