Northern economies are feeling the impact of a warm winter

The economic impact from a mild winter is being felt in the Northeast. From skiing to snow-mobiling it affects everything from gas stations to vehicle sales, to equipment sales and rentals.

Kamiskotia in Timmins and Laurentian in North Bay both utilize snow making and may only be partially open by this weekend. With only 15 centimetres of snow expected in the next two weeks residents may be waiting even longer to hit both the slopes and the sled trails.
