The DSB Ontario North East and the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario have reached a tentative deal. No details will be released until it is voted on by the trustees and the elementary teachers. Board Chair Doug Shearer says this round of bargaining was challenging for ETFO and Board staff, and the agreement was reached after multiple days at the bargaining table. Local Ontario North East President Monica Rusnak says the agreement is fair and meets the needs of the union and the students they teach.
