NE LHIN on the defence after report shows only 4/15 targets met in 2015

The head of the North East Local Health Integration Network says northerners can be very confident about the progress it’s making in many areas. Louise Paquette was responding to a scathing report by the Auditor General that shows the agency missed hitting 11 of 15 performance indicators.

Paquette says one area that’s improved is hip replacement surgeries where the wait time is now below the provincial average. Paquette also responded to claims by Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli who says the agency spent three-quarters of a million dollars on office renovations.

She says the only number she’s aware of is $50K being spent on renovating the North Bay office.
