Patch 4 Patch to become law in Ontario

The Patch 4 Patch bill is about to become law in Ontario.

The bill, pitched Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli, got support from all parties at Queen’s Park yesterday. The bill has Fentanyl users return their old patches to the pharmacy before getting a new one, as an attempt to stop illegal use of the drug, which can be deadly.

The bill is expected to get Royal Assent, with some sections to be proclaimed within six months. Fedeli says this program is working, and it will save lives across the province. He is happy to see all members of the Legislature recognizing the value and importance of the bill.

The program is already in many communities across Ontario, including Timmins.
