Mayor Steve Black says the money is coming from the province, which the city gets every year. The amount varies slightly each year, but it is a consistent annual report. The province sets the guidelines for the money, which is why it has to go into public transportation. Black says it usually gets worked into the transit budget to buy new buses to help keep costs down.
