It happened this week at Goldcorp’s Musselwhite Mine, who also owns the Porcupine Gold Mine in Timmins. The miner was killed when he was working a scoop tram, as result of a rock-fall. The scoop was completely covered by material which killed the miner. Mining operations are suspended while authorities, including the Ministry of Labour, investigate the death. The name of the miner has not been released.
