Aquatic centre consultations are continuing in Timmins

The study into a new aquatic centre in Timmins is continuing. The architect and planning groups were in town last night looking for more input from the public.

During last night’s meeting the consultants asked residents what they would want to see in a multi-purpose facility. Consultant Kim Wilmot says there are modern upgrades, like new change rooms, different courts, or a gym, that the city may want added in. Their first focus is on the aquatic centre, but this input will help determine their recommendations on locations, and how much it will cost.

Sierra Planning and Management is expected to be back in Timmins in late December to update the city on their findings.
