News Smile Cookies raised over $20K for DARE SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Thursday, Nov. 19th, 2015 Over $22,000 was raised for DARE during this year’s Smile Cookie campaign at Tim Hortons. More than $16,000 came from Timmins, while over $5,000 was split up between Cochrane and Iroquois Falls. Dare Officer Rick Lemieux says the smile cookies are instrumental in buying resources for the program. The campaign ran from September 14-19, and the cookies were $1 each. The funds raise will go into the Timmins Police and Northeast Region OPP DARE programs. More money was raised this year compared to last, which brought in just over $16,000.
