Entering Algonquin Blvd. from Hwy. 655 is a no-go for a few days

Getting onto Algonquin Blvd. from Hwy. 655 isn’t possible for the next few days as of Monday.

It’s to allow the completion of crossings for the new traffic lights.

The northbound off-ramp from westbound Algonguin remains open.

The city says southbound heavy truck traffic headed down 655 will detour at Laforest Rd. and connect to Riverside Dr. on Shirley St.

All other traffic headed that way will turn off onto Ross Avenue. You can, however, still get into Independent Grocers, Harvey’s/Swiss Chalet and the Gillies Lake parking lots.
