Water to be off again west of the Mattagami bridge

Mountjoy Twp. is about to lose its tap water again. The difference this time is it’s a planned outage and should only last a couple hours. However, the same as last time, you’ll have to boil the water once it’s back on.

City Hall says the water will be turned off at 10:00pm Thursday. It’s expected to be restored after two hours.

Following that, everyone west of the Mattagami River bridge will have to boil water before using it. That will be lifted following two clean water tests at least 24 hours apart.

This is all necessary so a valve on the main service line at Riverside Dr. and Norman St. can be replaced.
