Primero will install its new Chief Executive Officer at the end of January and he’s no stranger to the company. Ernest Mast, who has served as the gold producer’s president and chief operating officer since February, is Primero’s new CEO. Current chief executive, Joseph Conway is retiring although Conway will assume the role of executive vice chair by mid-2016. Meanwhile, Mast has a wealth of international mining experience with more than 25 years under his belt. Primero is now looking for someone to replace Mast as chief operating officer.
