A Timmins-bred award winning folk musician is coming back to play a concert tonight. Fiddle player Adrianna Ciccone recently won Instrumental Solo Artist of the Year for her debut album, The Back of Winter, at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.
Ciccone says creating that award winning album was a long time coming. She says she has been wanting to make an album since she was about 13. The album was made in collaboration with other folk musicians, which Ciccone says was a wonderful experience playing music in the studio for four days straight.
Ciccone recently graduated from the Berkeley College of Music in Boston, and is now making her living as a full time musician. Her concert is at 7 o’clock tonight at O’Gorman. You can buy tickets at Shoppers Drug Mart or online, click here.
