TPS calls monthly impaired driving charges “alarming”

The Timmins Police Service is calling their October impaired driving charges alarming. Three drivers were charged during October and two more on November 1st. Both men and women are facing charges and range from 24 to 65 years old.

Police say residents haven’t gotten the message that drinking and driving can lead to devastation and is also a criminal offence. They are also reminding citizens to call 911 if you think someone is impaired and behind the wheel. Of those five people charged over the last month, three were because of citizen calls.
