The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario is stepping up their work-to-rule campaign. Public elementary teachers across the province will be stopping extra curricular activities as of today. The government has reached deals with the other major teachers’ unions, but talks with the Elementary Teachers Federation have recently been stalled.
The union represents over 70,000 public elementary teachers in Ontario, including those under the District School Board Ontario North East. The ETFO has been without a contract since August 2014.
