The Porcupine Health Unit will begin its flu shot clinics beginning October 28th and 29th throughout the Northeast. The first clinics are set to open in South Porcupine at the end of October and in Timmins in the beginning of November.
The health unit says children between the ages of two and 17 will be receiving a vaccine containing more strains of influenza for better protection. The PHU says other health care providers and local pharmacies will also be carrying the vaccines.
The Porcupine Health Unit services communities from Cochrane to Algoma in the Northeast.
