A fatal mining accident in Sudbury has killed a worker. It happened at the Nickel Rim South Mine after a piece of machinery hit the miner. The accident is under investigation by the police, union officials, company officials, and the Ministry of Labour.
It happened yesterday, and all work at Nickel Rim is stopped until further notice. The name of the miner isn’t being released yet, as police still must his family. The mine is owned by Glencore, who also owns the Kidd Mine in Timmins.
