Body of a man found in the Mattagami has been identified

A body found in the Mattagami River belongs to a Timmins man who went missing almost a year ago. 60-year-old Jacques Beausiegle was last seen in the Kelly Ann Drive area on December 22nd 2014.

After he went missing, the Timmins Police Emergency Response Team, TPSAR, and the fire department all looked for him during a ground search, but turned up no leads. When he went missing in December police sent out a press release saying they were concerned for his safety because he gets lost easily, and he may be confused and disoriented. They also said he takes several medications which he didn’t have with him, and he was under-dressed for the winter weather.

His body was found in the Sandy Falls area of the river on October 1st. The post-mortem results were released over the long weekend, and police are ruling out foul play.
