2016 budget process has started

Timmins is starting their 2016 budget process. In last night’s preliminary meeting, the councillors talked about the different items they want to see on the budget. CAO Joe Torlone called it a yes-no list, so council can decide on their priorities for the coming year.

Nothing has been set in stone yet, but things like adding a million dollars to the roads budget were talked about. Council also talked about upcoming core services review. The final report was supposed to be released on October 19th, Election Day. That meeting has been cancelled and the review will now be out on the 26th.
