As of today (Wednesday, April 30th), the Cochrane Temiskaming Children’s Treatment Centre is called The Inspire Centre.
Executive director Marie Rouleau says since 1995, it’s been serving children and youth from birth to 21 with diverse development needs.
“We offer services in physiotherapy, speech pathology, occupational therapy, social work and we also have specialized clinics,” she explains.
The Inspire Centre’s head office is at the corner of Hwy. 655 and Ross Ave. in Timmins. It has five satellite offices across Cochrane and Timiskaming Districts.

Rouleau says the refresh and name update signify its growth to meet families’ evolving needs.
“We wanted to celebrate that evolution. We wanted to differentiate ourselves from other organizations and we wanted to reflect our values.”
Rouleau adds the process is helping to clarify what the Inspire Centre does from its six offices across the Cochrane and Timiskaming Districts, and how it helps.
