A sold out concert in Timmins? It finally happens

So much for the reputation of Timmins as the place where no one buys advance tickets.

In four days, the Timmins Festivals and Events Committee sold all 1,400 tickets for next May’s Preston Pablo concert at the Mac.

“Huge sellout. Real quick. We didn’t expect under a week,” says TFEC sponsorship director Norm Dwyer, noting that tickets went on sale last Friday, and were gone by Tuesday.

The question arises about the possibility of another show by Pablo, the Timmins-born pop and R&B artist.

“I think what we’ll do is sit down with the board, obviously have some discussion with his management and see what we can do from there,” Dwyer tells My Timmins Now Dot Com.

The May 10th concert is a celebration of TFEC’s tenth anniversary.
