The group that brings you Rock on the River turns ten next year, and Timmins Festival and Events Committee communications director Lise Groulx says it has a very local way to celebrate.
“We were able to land Preston Pablo and have him come home and do a concert.”
Preston Pablo is a 23-year-old Timmins native with a couple Pop and R&B Juno awards under his belt, and millions of listens on Spotify.
The all-ages concert is Saturday, May 10th.
“It’s actually our first concert that we’ve put on indoors as well,” Groulx notes. “That’s a big deal for us and we’re really hoping that if all goes well, that we can put something like this on in the future again.”
General admission tickets are $40.00 and go on sale on Friday on Eventbrite.
“TFEC’s really excited that we’ve been operating for ten years now,” says Groulx. “We signed those incorporation documents in May of 2015. So having a ten-year anniversary with Preston Pablo is just the cherry on top.”
