Time spent waiting at TADH emergency room average length for Ontario

Wait times at hospitals in Ontario continue to grow.

The latest numbers from Ontario Health show the average wait to be seen by a doctor in emergency was 2.1 hours as of September. That’s.up from two hours in August.

The longest delay was almost four-and-a-half hours at the Windsor Regional Hospital, while E-R patients waited the shortest time at the South Bruce-Grey health Centre in Durham…. just half an hour.

The report shows 88 percent of all emergency room patients finished their visit within the target time of eight hours.

Wait times in our area were right around the provincial average, 2.2 hours at Timmins and District Hospital.
