Kin Club donates life-saving defibrillator to Mountjoy Farmers Market

The Mountjoy Farmers Market how has an AED – an automatic external defibrillator.  The device restores proper heart function in anyone undergoing a cardiac issue.

Presentation of the AED was made during Saturday’s market day by the Kin Club of Timmins.

President Erin Thomson speaks on behalf of the club.

“If need be, it is here,” she tells My Timmins Now Dot Com. “I do understand that in the past there has been an issue at the farmers market, where the outcome could have been extremely horrible for many, many families, and so we’re very grateful to know that they have a mode to be able to help people in their time of need.

Hoping the AED is never needed, Thomson repeats the wise words “Bring an umbrella and you won’t need it”.
