Tonight’s the big night – Night 1 of this year’s Rock on the River music festival at Hollinger Park.
Timmins Festivals and Events Committee has published on Facebook, a list of Frequently Asked Questions. Communications director Lise Groulx says the most asked question is “cash or plastic?”
Her answer: Bar tickets are available only with a debit- or credit card.
“But we do recommend to bring some cash,” she adds, “because some of our vendors do accept cash. And we do have merch as well, if you want to buy some T-shjirts and things like that from the bands.”
Even though the musical performances are in the evening, sun is still a factor. Groulx advises you to apply sunscreen before getting to the park.
“Wear a nice hat, appropriate clothing so you don’t burn, but unfortunately, we can’t let people bring in any sunscreen or anything like that.”
That includes bottles and lawn chairs, but Groulx points out the stage is much closer to the grandstand this year.
