Welcome to Timmins Night comes up September 4 at the McIntyre Curling Club

Registration is now open for non-profit groups wanting to exhibit at the 31st annual Welcome to Timmins Night on Wednesday, September 4th at the McIntyre Curling Club.

It’s organized by a committee with representation from the Timmins Economic Development Corporation; the Multicultural Centre, BIA and museum.

TEDC director of community economic development Noella Rinaldo says although the name implies it’s for newcomers, it’s also valuable to people who have lived here all their lives.

“You think you know Timmins, but you never know ‘til you show up there and you see who’s there,” she states. “Now, it is 100% not-for-profits that are there, just with the services of what they do and what they actually do.”

Yyou could be looking for a new sport for your kids, or something for yourself, as you enter a new phase in your life, like retirement.

“Today’s age, we get overloaded with so much information, but you have to find the right information. So this is a way of kind of finding it,” says Rinaldo.

A lot more information is in the audio of our interview.
