Demystifying the federal dental care program

The Canadian Dental Care Program starts to take effect this spring, and the C.M. Shields Library in South Porcupine has an event planned to demystify it.

Branch head Louise Gaudette says next Wednesday, February 28th at 6:00pm, there’s a free information session at the library. A Service Canada rep will be on hand.

“Our representative will inform us on who’s eligible, how to use the dental care program, how to apply, and what services are covered,” says Gaudette.

The program’s initial roll-out is for seniors and children.

“Hopefully, our seniors can come in as well,” notes Gaudette. Buses are running at the same time, so if you need to take a bus…”

Gaudette says it will also be valuable for anyone taking care of a senior.
