Starting this coming Monday, February 12th, Timmins Handi-Transit will be rebranded “Timmins Transit on Demand”.
Manager of transit operations Marcel Coté says it moves trip booking to a cell phone app.
“Riders can now book in real time up to an hour in advance,” he says.
The app is available on the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
“If eligible,” Coté reiterates, “customers will have the opportunity to book through the app within up to an hour.”
Rides are availableduring the same operating hours as conventional bus service.
“On Sundays from 7:30am to 5:30pm;” says Coté, “Monday to Saturday from 6:30am to 11:30pm.”
