A conceptual design for a new recreation centre in Timmins is going ahead. A Toronto firm is getting $115,000 dollars to do the work.
City clerk Steph Palmateer says the resulting report will be shared with government agencies and other possible project funders.
The new centre would incorporate two ice surfaces; an events bowl for concerts, conferences and the like; as well as a swimming pool and indoor walking track.
