Arrests made after search warrant used by Timmins Police Service

Two people are facing drug trafficking charges after the Timmins Police Service executed a search warrant on Wednesday.

Police say a search led to officers seizing a large quantity of methamphetamine tablets, which were believed to be on the way to Kashechewan.
The two accused have a March court date in Timmins.

The arrests come after a team effort with the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service who had their own search earlier the same day – which led to a woman being charged and drugs seized.

Police say the efforts are an example of the two service’s combined efforts to address the drug issues in both communities.
