A 20 year old Fenwick Ontario resident is dead following a single snowmobile accident in Opasatika township on Sunday.
Police were already conducting patrols in the area and were able to respond to the accident shortly after 3 pm on trail L123 near Opasatika, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The OPP is continuing its investigation with help of the Management Enforcement team and the office of the chief coroner for Ontario – Ontario Forensic Pathology service.
The OPP would like to remind snowmobile drivers of the importance of obeying the speed limit and exercising caution on the trails.
