Iroquois Falls Storm growing support and improving on-ice product

As the regular season winds down in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, the Iroquois Falls Storm find themselves in the midst of a fight for a playoff spot. The Storm moved from Cochrane to Iroquois Falls and Head Coach Tyler Pracek (Pra-Sec) has been thrilled with the support received in the community.

“I didn’t know what to expect when I got here,” he said. “The community is great, the boys love the energy, the fans are right into it. The key to success is to have that fan base and how loud it is in that building. It’s definitely a real cool barn to play in.”

Pracek says the future bodes well.

“And working with such a great group of players and staff,” he said. “The guys are working so hard. I really think that this is going to be a tough team in the coming years to play against. For sure it’s exciting to see what the future holds for us.”

The Storm hits the ice this weekend for a pair of games hosting Hearst tonight (Friday) and then the Timmins Rock tomorrow night (Saturday) at Jus Jordan Arena.
