A 34-year-old Timmins man is facing firearm charges.
That’s according to the Timmins Police Service, who says officers responded to a call of a gun being discharged in the north end of the city Wednesday evening (Dec. 13).
The service says officers cleared the residence and took the accused into custody.
Police say a rifle had been shot inside the residence, with the bullet hitting a neighbour’s home, adding no one was harmed in the incident.
The accused is facing charges of careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
He was released from custody after a bail hearing and has a court date in January.
