Tomorrow is International Women’s Day.
Timmins Police are recognizing the 49 women who are part of the Timmins Police Service team.
Police Chief John Guathier says in a profession that is historically male-dominant it’s important to recognize female officers and civilians.
He adds that these women are integral to the daily functioning of the police department and without them he’s confident the organization would not exist.
