Two Remembrance Day ceremonies will be taking place in our area on Saturday.
In Timmins, the ceremony is being held at Hollinger Park and begins just before 11:00 a.m. Officials are asking the public to be in place by 10:45 a.m., and are reminding the community that Brunette Rd. will be closed to traffic during the ceremony.
In South Porcupine, it’s being held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 287. The public can watch from Legion Drive, and is asked to be in place by 10:40 a.m.
Flags at City Hall along with all municipal facilities will be lowered at half-mast in honour of Remembrance Day.
