The Northern Ontario School of Medicine University and the faculty in staff have announced ratification of their sixth collective agreement.
The agreement between the school and OPSEU Local 677, covers full-time faculty, librarians and staff at the university.
Officials on both sides of the bargaining are thanking everyone involved for the work done to reach the agreement, which they say will benefit learners and communities across the North.
President of the bargaining unit negotiating the contract, Dr. Darrel Manitowabi, adds the work from both sides is appreciated, especially coming at a time when Northern communities need more doctors.
