A donation to the Timmins Hospital this morning is supporting the surgical program. McDougall Energy is giving the hospital’s foundation $10,000. Two pieces of equipment can now be purchased.
A Glidescope is a video laryngoscope. It gives a clear view of a patient’s airway and tube placement, allowing for quick intubation. The second piece of equipment is called a Cavitron, which will be used for dental surgery.
A spokesperson for the hospital says both pieces of equipment are badly needed. McDougall Energy is a family-based business that is headquartered in the Soo.
