Supplied by Taylor Ablett Ontario’s NDP leader says the province is against the sale of Hydro One. Andrea Horwath was in Timmins last week talking about the town hall meetings she has been to. She has been touring the province asking for feedback on the potential privatization of the utility, and has been getting the same comments everywhere. She says people are in tears at times, and see this is as the straw that is breaking the camel’s back. Horwath says people are concerned about their bills, about jobs, and about those who are on a fixed income. Horwath says there is a lot of worry over the sale, which could raise electricity prices by up to 70 per cent.
