Today looks fine for travelling by air to or through Toronto. However, Saturday could be a different story.
That area is under a winter storm warning, and Timmins Airport manager Dave Dayment says it’s already affecting service.
“I know the Air Canada flight looks like it’s been pulled in the morning,” he points out. “I haven’t quite yet got hooked up with the Porter people yet, but I’ll be checking that.”
Of course, the problems will be caused by snowfall.
“It depends on where they are around in the GTA, anywhere 15 to 20-plus centimetres,” Dayment notes. “When they get 10 cm, they lose their minds.” His advice: Check with your airline before heading to the airport.
