Can you imagine being recently diagnosed with cancer and told that you need to travel great distances to receive your life saving treatment? For many people in Northern Ontario that is the reality they face. But what if you didn’t have family or friends who could take you there. What would you do? The Canadian Cancer Society offers Wheels of Hope a transportation service that helps people get to their life saving treatment. The Canadian Cancer Society relies on volunteers to drive and we are in need of such volunteers! Without people giving their time to drive, many people would simply not be able to attend their life saving treatments. If you have spare time and enjoy driving please consider becoming a volunteer driver. Please contact the Timmins Community Office at 705-264-7434 or 1-800-788-069 today!
