NOHFC funds 13 projects worth $4-million

A reception in Timmins following a daylong board meeting of the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund featured the announcement of funding to 13 economic development projects in this region.

Cedar Meadows Resort in Timmins got $300,000 towards additional accommodations and buying equipment.

The announcement was made by Timmins MPP and mines min9ister George Pirie.  He called the individuals and organizations who applied for and got money the real heroes… for investing $17-million in the Northeast.

“And our government will always work with the people that want to grow their businesses to help their communities in all parts of this region,” Pirie remarked.
