The province is giving Timmins and District Hospital almost $5.5-million dollars in one-time funding to cover the cost of battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Timmins MPP George Pirie says the hospital is getting over $5-million for what it calls “incremental operations… and another $472,500 for pandemic prevention and containment.
Pirie says it’s part of a province-wide commitment of $413-million, a significant portion of added costs to hospitals.
