Window smashed at credit union

Timmins Police are scrutinizing surveillance camera footage, trying to determine who smashed a window at a credit union Sunday afternoon.

They got a call at about 4:30 that the window between the ATM lobby and the Northern Credit Union branch on Mountjoy St. N. had been smashed. The person who did it fled on foot.

Police say that person did not actually enter the branch. Officers secured the building until company officials arrived.

A sign in the front door last night said it would only open at noon Monday, “due to unforeseen circumstances”.
