If you see a bear in Timmins, you can now report it online. Northern MPP’s have joined forces to create the bear reporting website. The goal is to gather information, and send it off to the MNR to prove there is a bear problem in the area.
NDP MPP for Nickel Belt, France Gelinas, is spearheading the project, and she says we need proper government funding. She says if the best we can do is have police shoot bears when they come into a community, than we’ve failed.
