‘What number to call and when’ made easy for Timmins businesses

An initiative of the Chamber of Commerce, Timmins Police and the BIA is putting emergency numbers in plain view in city businesses.

Chamber senior policy analyst Cameron Grant says among other things, it will help TPS gather data to back its claims that it needs more money and resources to battle crime and substance abuse.

It’s a simple graphic to quickly tell you when and which number to call.

“When you see something that’s not right, unwanted activity, somebody who may be in distress, be it for mental reasons or other,” he uses as an example,”that they have the right information and the right number to call so that we can continue seeing these community services within Timmins.”

You can post it in plain view in your business, for easy access to staff and clients or customers.

“In order to protect what is in our own backyard and to be good community partners” Grant points out, “this one-pager is just a really great snapshot as to what to do, when and who to call.”
