It’s November, not April or May, but the local flood advisory committee has issued a conditions statement for the Mattagami Watershed.
It says the recent rainfall has swollen most streams and lakes to a high water level. It’s also moving rapidly, constituting a hazard – especially in low-lying areas. It’s also reminding us to keep kids away from the edge of streams and rivers.
