MONDAY MORNING UPDATE: The city had hoped to have Algonquin Blvd. open yesterday between Pine and Balsam Sts. But repairing a broken water main in the intersection of Cedar St. has been taking longer than anticipated.
Latest word from City Hall is that it’s ready for paving, provided the weather is right.
Connecting link reconstruction hasn’t arrived soon enough for the intersection of Algonquin Blvd. and Cedar St. – right in the shadow of City Hall.
A water main break has forced closure of Algonquin between Pine and Balsam. Cedar St. is closed from Third Ave. to Fifth Ave. The city says all of this could be in effect until late Sunday morning, while repair work is completed.
